Oh Nuts!

What a crazy day!  As usual, trying to get out the door to take my son to preschool, ends with me frazzled and feeling rushed.  Today was no exception.  My son was doing everything he wasn't suppose to while I'm trying to get his show & tell, breakfast for the car, and my phone together.  We went flying out the door and then I realized, NUTS, I forgot my keys.  So I can't get in the car, nor can I get back in the house.  And our spare key had been used and was in the house; never made it back outside.  Luckily, when I called my hubby (thank goodness I remembered the phone), he was just finishing up a meeting.  Bless his heart, he drove home (about 25 minute drive) to let me in to get my key.  I was only 30 minutes late getting my son to school.

This card I made fits perfectly with my day.  I CASE'd the layout from a card I found on Splitcoaststampers.  The acorn paper, brown hatch paper and the squirrel all came from Doodle Pantry.  The squirrel was a colored digi.  The sentiment is from D.P. too but I changed it to a font on my computer.  The little acorn attached to the ribbon is a graphic I found online.  This is the first card......hopefully when I put the rest together, I can get the acorn to stand out a bit more.

  1. What a morning you had, I got frazzled just reading your post-lol. Hubbies are a wonderful thing, especially when they come 'riding' to your rescue! Love your card and the acorn stands out just fine. Thanks for joining us at the DPDC#20.

  5. I've done that except I locked my keys in my car! We now have AMA (to get in a locked car) AND our door has a keycode so I can get in with no key, lol! Great card, very cute and I like how the acorn stands out. Thanks for joining us at Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge#20.
